Several research studies showed that the CBDs in the fungus and bacteria have high affinity for crystalline forms of cellulose. The researchers also determined that CBDs in fungus are normally smaller than CBDs in bacteria so our team has decided to use CBD protein in Schizosaccharomyces pombe (S. pombe)
